Motivated by a wish to mend a world that, in its current state, seems to be fracturing, this collection subverts current political trends and ideas of nationhood by collecting stones, smashing them apart and then re-assembling them.
The stones are collected from around the world; picked up directly off the ground, and carried to London via different routes and for various reasons. Attached to silver frames and silk cords, the pieces are named and marked only with the coordinates of the location where the stones were found. The underlying message is a statement, urging that true value lies the freedom to cross borders.
