These pieces are the result of the transformation of 100 tin cans, dissected to become 300 individual brooches. Throughout this process I significantly transformed these objects whilst still respecting their original essence, maintaining traces of their past existence.

My project is based on the idea that, although in society there is the tendency to stereotype or classify individuals in terms of groups or types – an act which may culminate in marginalisation – there is still space for expressing individuality and ultimately redemption
