My jewellery is about communication; with our inner self, with others and externalising emotions without words – emphasising and materialising an emotion, feeling its weight, colour, texture, matter. I like challenges, to question things, and my way to express this is through material. I am researching the limits of stone; its resistance, tension and fragility. How much can I manipulate it before it splits? I don’t want it to break, just as I do not want to fall off a cliff, but I like to play at the border because this is what makes us feel truly alive. Risk is a must if we want to feel alive, and there is no risk without fragility. In the end, it is all about love.
